Sambal Goreng Tempeh |
My own original recipe.
Prep Time: 10 minutes / Cook Time 15 minutes
Best Sambal Goreng Tempeh Easy Steps
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon chili paste
- 1 teaspoon tamarind paste
- 1 dried red chili - sliced
- 1 tbsp grated galangga
- 2 cloves garlic - sliced
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 shallots - sliced
- 1 medium tomato - sliced
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 tbsp Indonesian sweet soy sauce
- Some salt to taste
- Vegetable oil to fry
- Slice the tempeh in the shape as you desire or in the shape as you see in the picture above and deep fry it until golden over medium heat.
- Heat another 1 1/2 tbsp of vegetable oil and fry the sliced garlic and shallot until fragrant, then add the sliced tomato.
- Add the water and all the remaining ingredients then cook until it is caramelize.
- When the sauce gets thickened, add the fried tempeh and stir it until they're mixed well.
- Serve and enjoy.
