Fried Udon in XO Sauce

Fried Udon in XO Sauce

This is a popular dish with XO sauce.  XO sauce can be bought at any Asian supermarket.  It can go for up to $20 plus dollars for the Lee Kum Kee brand.  This is the best XO sauce.  I highly recommend it.  Whenever I make this dish, families always want more.  They can't just have one bite.

My own original recipe.
Prep Time: 10 minutes / Cook Time 15 minutes
Fried Udon in XO Sauce

  • 5 tofu puffs - slice
  • 1 cup bean sprout
  • 1 spring onion - slice
  • 10 baby corn - cut diagonal
  • 1 palm size of chicken - slice
  • 1 tbsp xo sauce
  • 3/4 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 clove garlic - chop
For The Chicken:
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
Cooking Directions:
  1. Bring to boil the udon for few minutes and strain it.
  2. Marinate the sliced chicken with the seasoning above and fry with a tbsp of oil until it's cooked, then set aside.
  3. Using the same pan, heat another tbsp of olive oil and fry the garlic until fragrant, then add the baby corn and tofu puffs.
  4. Simmer in 3/4 tbsp of dark soy sauce and 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce for 1 minute, then add the udon. Mix it evenly with the xo sauce, slice of spring onion, bean sprout and the cooked chicken.
  5. Serve.
