Baked Tofu in Gruyere Cheese

Baked Tofu in Gruyere Cheese
My own original recipe.
Prep Time: 15 minutes / Cook Time 35 minutes


3/4 cup roughly mashed tofu - pan fry until golden
3/4 cup grated gruyere cheese
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese - save some for sprinkle
10 to 15 green olives
1 small jar artichoke hearts
3 eggs
Ground black pepper and salt
2 stems green onion - sliced

For The Pastry Skin:

2 cups all purpose flour
1 egg
4 tbsp butter
1/4 cup water or as need it
Some salt


Mix all the ingredients for the pastry skin and knead until they're smooth, then let it sit with the cover on for about an hour.  Knead the dough and roll as big as your plate or baking pan size.   Then place the dough onto a baking plate and poke the surface of the dough with a fork and bake until golden over 350 degrees.

In a bowl, beat the egg and mix it well with the gruyere cheese, parmesan cheese, green olive, artichoke heart, green onion, ground black pepper and salt.  Add them into the baked skin pastry and sprinkle with parmesan cheese you had saved earlier.  Put it back into the oven and bake until golden brown.  Cut and serve.
