Sweet and Sour Fish |
Prep Time: 15 minutes / Cook Time 15 minutes
Ingredients:
1 palm size basa fillet or any white fish fillet
1/2 red bell pepper - cut
1/2 yellow bell pepper - cut
1/2 green bell pepper - cut
1/4 cup cornstarch or all purpose flour
vegetable oil to fry
For The Sauce:
3/8 cup fresh orange juice
1/8 cup pineapple juice
4 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch dissolve in 1 tbsp water
3/8 white vinegar (you can adjust depending on how do you like)
1 tbsp fresh ginger juice
Pinch of salt
Method:
Cut and dry the fish and coat with the cornstarch, then fry in hot oil over medium heat. Set aside.
In a bowl, whisk together all the ingredients for the sauce and set aside. Using the same pan, fry all the bell peppers for a few minutes and add the sauce. Simmer until the sauce is thicken, add the fish and stir it. Transfer onto a serving plate.
