Easy How to Make Stir Fry Tofu with Beef and Chinese Mustard
Ingredients:
- 1/4 box firm tofu
- 1 palm size beef
- 1 package of Chinese mustard (you can get it in Asian store see picture below)
- few pieces dried chilies
- 1/2 tbsp olive oil or cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce (if need it)
- 1 tbsp water
- 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- Pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- Wash and cut the beef into long thin slices and marinate with the marinate seasoning. Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Cut the tofu in the same size chunks as the beef, fry the sliced tofu in a non-stick pan over medium heat until golden then set aside.
- Using the same frying pan, pan fry the beef with the remaining oil from the tofu from before until the two sides turn brown.
- Add one package of the Chinese mustard and dried chilies into the beef, stir in one tbsp of water then add the tofu.
- Keep stirring in a medium-low heat for a few seconds or until all are mixed well then transfer to a serving plate. You can add one teaspoon soy sauce if not salted enough.
This is what the Chinese preserved mustard looks like. |
