Indonesian lamb Satay
If you ever venture to Indonesia, the lamb satay is a must try.  Indonesia Lamb Satay is the best in the world.  It's full of flavor and so delicious.  This recipe is an enhancement.  It's absolutely the best lamb satay.  All the spices and flavor is like making love in your mouth.  One taste and you won't be the same.

My own original recipe.
Prep Time: 35minutes / Cook Time 25 minutes
To Die For Indonesian lamb Satay

  • 10 oz lamb
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or 1 chopped fresh garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Some bamboo skewers (soak in the water before use, so it will not burn when you grill the lamb)
For The Peanut Sauce:
  • 3/4 cup peanut
  • 1 cup water or less
  • 1 teaspoon chili paste
  • Squeezed lime juice from 1 lime
  • Some lime peels
  • 1/8 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 tbsp Indonesian sweet soy sauce (get from asian grocery store)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 big size clove garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 shallots
Cooking Directions:
  1. Toast or pan fry the peanut with or without oil until cooked then grind them by using a grinder or a food processor. Make it chunky, so you can bite into some chunky peanuts.
  2. Blend the fresh garlic and the shallots then fry in 1/2 tbsp cooking oil until fragrant in a hot frying pan over medium heat. Add the water, grind peanuts, lime juice, lime peeled, coconut milk, chili paste, Indonesian sweet soy sauce and regular soy sauce. Stir them well and allow to cook until boil. You can adjust the taste by adding some more sugar or salt or even water if you think it's too thick.
  3. Wash and cut the lamb into cube shapes. Mix in the marinated seasoning for about 15 to 20 minutes. Then thread the lamb onto the skewer.
  4. Preheat a griller to 350 degrees. Grill the lamb until golden similar to the photo above.
  5. Transfer the satay lamb and peanut sauce onto a serving plate.
  6. Now, enjoy this great tasting lamb satay.
