Vegetarian Tofu With Chives

Vegetarian Tofu With Chives
My own original recipe.
Prep Time: 15 minutes / Cook Time: 10 minutes
Vegetarian Tofu With Chives

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 box of firm tofu
  • 1/4 cup crushed tofu skin (put tofu skin in a ziplock bag and crush it using a roller)
  • 1/2 handful of chives
  • 1 teaspoon miso paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
  • salt to taste
  • some olive oil to fry
Cooking Directions:
  1. Wash the chives and cut it in one inch length. 
  2. In a bowl, mash the tofu until smooth and add the tofu skin, chives, miso paste, sesame oil, garlic powder, ground black pepper, soy sauce, corn starch, and pinch of salt, then mix everything well together.
  3. Use a 1/2 measurement cup and place a plastic wrapper in it and fill it with the tofu mixed ingredients.
  4. Then press it with a spoon until it becomes a really nice circle. Then fry the tofu in a non-stick frying pan with a few drops of olive oil and gently flip the tofu to fry the other side. 
  5. Fry them until both sides are golden brown. 
  6. Serve and enjoy this delightful vegetarian dish.
